One More Step

When I can’t go on and take another step

And life is dark and there’s no other help

My trust has withered

My hope has died

I turn my heart to the crucified.

On Golgotha’s hill the Galilean died.

In that place

The Lord embraced

The worst of me I could ever be

The darkest day I could ever know

The greatest bondage which keeps me bound

There is promise in all that

My living God can be found

The empty tomb speaks loud and clear,

Your precious Savior is not here

Nor all those things which have caused the strife

As the resurrected Lord has become my life.
